Description
The building is a library located on Bridge Street in Lockerbie, dating from the late 19th century. It features Scots baronial ornamentation designed to harmonise with the nearby town hall. The library is two storeys high and constructed from bull-faced red ashlar with polished dressings. It has two crow-stepped gables and a conical-roofed bartisan. To the left, there is a large mullioned and transomed window on the first floor, positioned below the larger gable. To the right, a round arched doorway is topped by a corbel table. The roofs are covered with slate.
