Description

Heather House is a mid-19th century rustic summerhouse with an octagonal plan and a shallow-pitched conical slate roof supported by tree trunks. The bays are constructed with split logs arranged in geometric patterns, and there are cusped-headed openings, with the doorway facing roughly north.

Inside, the walls and roof are faced with split branches, also arranged in geometric patterns. There are seats along the walls that are covered with matting, and the floor is tiled with wood.
