Description

Mid 19th century. Rustic, octagonal-plan summerhouse with shallow-pitched conical slate roof supported on tree trunks.

Bays constructed with split logs laid in geometric patterns; cusped-headed openings (doorway faces roughly north).

Interior: walls and roof faced with split branches, also in

geometric patterns; seats along walls covered with matting;

wood-tiled floor.
