Description

Mid 19th century. Rustic timber-built octagonal summerhouse

with low-pitched conical slate roof swept over continuous

open verandah and supported on rustically braced tree trunks.

Walls faced with heather, arched openings (door faces roughly

north) protected by modern timber and netting frames.

Seats-faced with split branches - line inner and outer walls.

Inner walls and roof lined with moss in patterns including

Queensberry crest.
