Description
The Cart Shed at the Old Place of Mochrum is a single-storey structure built after 1907, designed in an L-plan. It features rubble construction that approaches a cyclopean pattern, with flat-arched cart openings supported by concrete lintels. The crowstepped gables are made of small stones and topped with thin stone coping, and the roof is covered with small grey slates.
On the north elevation, there is a gabled jamb that advances to the right, creating the L-plan shape, with an opening in the gable and two openings on the east return. A gabled bay with an opening is slightly advanced to the north in the re-entrant angle, and there are three openings to the left.
The south elevation is blank, with a gable that advances to the left. The east elevation is also gabled and blank.
