Description

Mill complex, late 18th century 3-storey and loft 6-bay main

block with 2-storey range adjoining either gable; 3

asymmetrically placed detached rectangular-plan ranges to

west all added probably first half of 19th century.

Whitewashed rubble, ashlar margins to square-headed door and

small-paned window openings.

MAIN BLOCK: door with hoist to 3 levels of west; gabled off-

centre shallow addition to south gable with porches and

forestair (2 loft ventilators in gable head); lean-to at

north has 5-bay north elevation and 4 recessed bays extending

east.

DETACHED RANGES: 2-storey 5-bay range (former cottages)

nearest south raised in height and faces roughly north, with

forestair and lean-to at rear, end stacks, huge modern shed

adjoining; single storey cottage facing latter, with end

stacks, is almost parallel; remaining range is also single

storey and is set parallel with and linked by modern shelter

to main block.
