Description
Ebor Mill is a mill building constructed around 1800, with later additions from the 19th century. It is made of coursed, dressed stone and features stone slate roofs. The complex consists of mill buildings arranged around three sides of a courtyard.
The south range, dating from around 1800, has two storeys and a basement, with 12 bays; the right bay projects forward. It includes 20th-century glazing and a partly blocked wheelhouse opening to the basement. There are cill bands and plain gutter brackets on the tabling. The right return has a central loading bay equipped with a hoist.
The north range, built in the mid-19th century, also has two storeys and features segment-headed openings. It includes a gabled loading bay, and the engine house at the west end has large, round-headed windows and an octagonal chimney stack with elaborate cresting.
The east range, the main block, was constructed in the later 19th century and has three storeys and a basement. It features plain windows that are closely set and includes one set of loading bays, along with a bracketed cornice and a blocking course.
