Description
84 High Street in Kirkcudbright is an early 19th-century terraced house that stands two stories tall and features three bays. The exterior is finished in painted ashlar with margins. The entrance includes a round-arched door flanked by enlarged windows, and there is a wide pend that leads to the Police close on the right. The first floor has three 12-pane sash windows. Architectural details include an eaves course and cornice, straight skews, end stacks, and a slate roof. At the rear, there is a painted, rubble-built wing that faces the pend; part of this wing has an attic and wallhead gabled dormers, while another part serves as a store, all covered with slate roofs.
