Description
This early 19th century terraced house at 96 High Street, Kirkcudbright, is two storeys high and has three bays. It features painted ashlar with margins on the ground floor and architraves on the first floor. There is a wide pend on the left side, with the entrance accessed through this pend. To the right of the entrance, there are three windows; the center space was once a door and has a curved cill, while the outer windows have projecting curved cills and lintels. A cill course runs along the first floor. The house has straight skews and a slate roof. At the rear, there is a two-storey wing built of rubble that fronts the close, identified as No 98.
