Description

Said to be Mechanics' Institute of 1866; now church hall.

Prominent tower. Coursed red ashlar with long and short

worked dressings. Hall has gable to street, 3 round-headed

ground floor lights, 2 tall windows at upper level; 2 bays

to right (integrated with house adjoining), the 1st with

hood-moulded round-headed doorway, tower rises above, top

stage corbelled out and with blind oculus to each elevation;

bracketted eaves and leaded spire with ventilators and

finial. Main roof slated. Simple hall interior with

open-timbered roof.
