Description
West Cluden Cottage is a probably mid-18th century single-storey cottage, likely originally two cottages. It has three asymmetrical bays and is rubble-built on a boulder base, with whitewashed walls and contrasting painted margins. The south elevation has lintels that meet the eaves. There is a centrally positioned boarded door, with a blocked door alongside, and small sash windows with four-pane glazing. Straight skews support small end stacks, and the roof is covered in uniform slates. A lean-to is recessed on the east gable. The cottage sits to the northwest of the former mill and is a building of group value.
