Description
The Queensberry Arms Hotel is a mid 18th century, three-storey building located at 47-49 High Street in Annan. Originally designed with three bays, it had two full-height bays added to the west, likely in the early 19th century. To the east, there is a two-storey single bay featuring a blocked segmental-arched pend. The exterior is finished in whitewashed render with contrasting painted margins. A columned porch was added to the original central doorway in the mid 19th century. The hotel features sash windows with a four-pane glazing pattern, cill bands on the upper floors, a cornice, skews, end stacks, and slate roofs. There is also a large modern rear wing attached to the building.
