Description
The estate includes an early 19th century U-plan stable yard constructed of painted rough rubble. It comprises three single-storey ranges, with the range on the right side being higher than the others. The central range features three cart entrances with depressed arches. All ranges have slate roofs. Curved rubble walls create a gateway.
Alongside the stables is a square-plan, two-storey dovecot, also rubble-built with a partially brick-lined upper level. A few nesting boxes remain, but are in poor condition. The dovecot is topped with a pyramidal slate roof, featuring stone skews along the ridges.
The stables and dovecot are set within a group of buildings that includes Chipperkyle House.
