Description

Bankhead Burial Ground is an 18th and 19th century burial ground enclosed by a rubble-built wall. The burial ground is quadrangular in shape and has a gateway on the west side, featuring a modern gate set on timber posts. Numerous headstones are present, with some displaying good-quality artisan sculpture. An Ordnance Survey map indicates the former location of a chapel at Bankhead within the burial ground. The statutory address of the burial ground is Bankhead Burial Ground.
