Description
Black Esk Bridge is a roadbridge, built in 1832 by Park's masons, as inscribed on the datestone. It carries a road over the Black Esk via a single segmental arch. The bridge has a roadway and straight parapets that slope downwards towards the north. The bridge is constructed of rubble with an ashlar parapet coping. Two mason's marks, one reading "DP," appear on the parapet coping above the datestone, potentially relating to the Park masons. The bridge is located in Eskdalemuir, also extending into Westerkirk Parish.
