Description

The gatepiers and boundary wall form part of the original grounds of Eskdalemuir Observatory. Constructed between 1904 and 1908, they are thought to be the work of W T Oldrieve. The boundary wall is built of rubble and features tall, regularly-spaced battered piers, with the gatepiers at the south-east corner similarly treated.
