Description

Peddie and Kinnear, 1867 (monogrammed and dated). 2-storey

bank. Stugged red ashlar, polished dressings and

architraves. Principal 3-bay elevation to High Street, outer

doors (the left now blocked) both with consoled hoods;

altered large central opening also in architrave; 1st floor

windows arranged 1-3-1, plate glass sashes; decorative

twisted cast-iron rhone pipe, iron-bracketted gutter,

dormers with curved segmental roofs. Deep on plan, S gable

built of narrow-coursed rubble, pair coped end stacks; slate

roof.
