Description
Muckhart Mill is a complex building with parts dating from 1666, 1717, and 1727, along with internal alterations from 1770 and the 19th century, which include ashlar facing of the wheel-pit. The structure consists of three blocks positioned at different angles, all covered with pantiles. It features a disused 20-foot overshot wheel at the north end, which has wooden arms and a cast-iron outer frame. The workings and kiln have been gutted, and the mill was renovated in 1967 to serve as a children's holiday home.
