Description
Craig Mill is a building dating from around 1830, which incorporates part of an earlier mill located to the southwest. The main section of the mill is four storeys high and features four windows across by two windows down, topped with a piend roof. At the southeast corner, there is a square kiln, and on the south side, there is a roofless lean-to that once housed an 18-foot overshot wheel. Additionally, there is a later beam engine house at the eastern gable. A single-storey and loft outbuilding is also present. The original part of the mill is constructed from rubble and pantiles, while the work from around 1830 is made of whin rubble with dressed sandstone detailing and has a slated roof.
