Description

Circa 1810. 3-storey and basement 7-bay plain classical tenement block (almost mirror image of Nos 28-32). Channelled ashlar to ground, droved above, coursed rubble to basement, random rubble to rear. Dividing band between basement and ground floors and between ground and 1st floors; cill course to 1st; projecting cills to 2nd; narrow eaves course. Stone steps and platts over-arching basement areas. Slightly recessed centre bay (not channelled to ground) with timber panelled door to stair and 2 windows lighting stair above. Timber panelled doors (with sunburst fanlights) to main door flats: in 3rd bay from left (in round-headed recessed surround) and in 2nd bay from right. Regularly fenestrated; window to outer right at ground in round-headed recess; blind windows above door to No 26.

12-pane glazing in timber sash and case windows. Grey slates; stone skews; corniced stacks with circular cans.

BOUNDARY WALL AND RAILINGS: spear-headed cast-iron railings on low ashlar boundary wall and to steps and platts, with pine cone finials to basement gates.
