Description

Circa 1832. Plain classical tenement block with recessed bowed corner bay (spiral common stair) to outer left. Cream ashlar, channelled to ground, lightly droved to basement and upper floors. Dividing band between basement and ground and between ground and 1st floors; cill course to 3rd floor; narrow eaves course. Regularly fenestrated. Stone steps and platts over-arching basement areas (filled in at Nos 6 and 10); timber door in Doric pilastered and corniced doorpiece to stair at No 2; timber door to flats at No 8; timber panelled doors with border-glazed fanlights at Nos 10 and 6.

12 pane glazing in timber sash and case windows. Grey slates. Corniced stacks (rendered) with circular cans.

Spear-headed cast-iron railings on low ashlar boundary wall; pine-cone finials to basement gates.
