144, 146, 148, 150 Rose Street in Edinburgh is a former tenement building, constructed by 1780, which has been converted into a shop. The facade was retained during renovations from 1978 to 1981. The building is symmetrical, featuring three stories and an attic with six bays. The exterior is made of coursed rubble that has been stone cleaned, and there is a modern polished ashlar shopfront at the ground level. The outer bays of the upper floors have tripartite windows, and there are six piend-roofed, slate-hung bowed dormers, with two located at the center against the central stack. The rear of the building is finished with modern dressed stone. The windows are 12-pane timber sash and case, and the rendered stacks have ashlar dressings, topped with grey slates. The interior has been modernized.
