Description
162 Rose Street in Edinburgh is a three-storey, four-bay tenement building dating from around 1790, with later alterations. It is situated on a corner site and features a bar on the ground and first floors. The exterior is made of coursed rubble, and the eaves have been heightened. Four windows on the upper floors have been enlarged. An office at No 19 Castle Street encroaches on the ground floor of this building. There is a two-bay return. The second floor has timber plate glass windows that are sash and case style. The building has ashlar coped eaves and a stone stack. The interior was not seen during the 1995 inspection.
