Description

Early 19th century. 3-storey, 3-bay tenement in irregular terrace with shop at ground. Sandstone ashlar to front recently refaced with lined render. Cornice above ground floor, 2nd floor cill band course, eave cornice, blocking course with raised central panel. Raised quoins.

NW ELEVATION: shopfront; 2-leaf panelled doors, glazed vestibule door, large flanking windows with low stall-risers, plate glass. Regular fenestration at 1st and 2nd floors.

NE ELEVATION: adjoining 5/6 Castle Place.

SW ELEVATION: adjoining 9-11 Castle Place.

12-pane timber sash and case windows. Grey slate pitched roof, coped skews. Broad brick gablehead stacks.
