Description

Buccleuch Parish School, located on Meadow Lane in Edinburgh, was built in 1839 and is designed in the Jacobean style. The building is two stories high and features gabled dormer heads. The north gable front, facing North Meadow Walk, is made of ashlar and includes a five-light rectangular bay adorned with strapwork. At the apex, there is an octagonal belfry feature supported by a corbel. The west flank of the building is constructed from rubble and has five windows with lying panes. There is a doorpiece with cresting situated between the third and fourth windows, and the roof is slated.
