Description
The boundary walls and gate piers at Rockville, located at 3 Napier Road in Edinburgh, were designed by Sir James Gowans in 1858. These features are part of the former Rockville House, which was demolished in 1966. The gate piers are circular in plan and topped with pyramid caps, constructed from rubble that is banded with ashlar. The walls are made of rubble and have bull-faced ashlar copes that are alternately stepped.
