Description
Edward Calvert 1885. 4-storey, 4-bay tenement with Baronial details, forming part of terrace. Squared and snecked cream sandstone with contrasting polished dressings. Base course; string course above ground floor; 3rd floor single windows breaking eaves in semi-circular pediments. W ENTRANCE elevation: roll-moulded doorway with relieving arch to right of centre; panelled door; plate glass fanlight; small single window flanking to right; single windows above. Single windows in 2nd bay. Full-height canted windows corbelled to square at crowstepped gables in bays to outer left and right; string course above 1st floor. Central corbelled chimneybreast with wallhead stack. Plate glass sash and case windows. Grey slate roof; coped wallhead stack; coped mutual stacks. INTERIORS: not seen 1991.
