Description

Late 19th century. 2 storey, 3 bay, near symmetrical house with classical details. Cream sandstone polished ashlar; rubble to sides and rear. Base course; channelled quoins; chip-carved floreate details over openings; dividing band course; eaves course; cornice.

W (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: shouldered arched, central doorway; panelled door; plate glass fanlight; strip pilasters to corbelled corniced doorpiece with decorative cast iron window guard; single window to 1st floor above with advanced, shouldered architrave. Single window to ground floor outer left with shouldered, advanced and corniced architrave; single window to 1st floor above with advanced, shouldered architrave; full height, 3 light canted window to outer right with polygonal roof.

N ELEVATION: central round arched stair window; opening at ground.

Plate glass, timber, sash and case windows; leaded glass stair window. Grey slate piended roof; coped, rendered and shouldered wallhead stacks.

INTERIOR: not seen 1996.

BOUNDARY WALLS: low coped boundary wall to street; replacement railings. Pedestrian gate adjoining to N.
