Description
Cadell House is a mid 18th century townhouse located at 129 Canongate in Edinburgh. It is a symmetrical, three-storey building with a six-bay rectangular plan and a piended roof. The exterior is constructed of random-rubble stone with ashlar dressings, featuring raised, chamfered margins and roughly tooled quions. The east elevation has regular window placement, while the west elevation is irregular. There is a doorway on the south elevation, positioned at the far left.
The windows are predominantly multi-pane timber sash and case. The house has a central ridge stack and cast-iron rainwater goods.
