Description

Russell House, located at 4 Reid's Court on the Canongate in Edinburgh, is a late 18th century, three-storey, three-bay Classical town house. It features an architraved doorway adorned with a fluted frieze and cornice, along with a timber panelled door that has a glazed fanlight above. The building is constructed from roughly squared and snecked rubble with raised margins, and it has ashlar quoins.

The windows are predominantly 12-pane timber sash and case style. The roof is piended and covered with grey Scottish slate, featuring a tall and narrow end stack on the east side. Additional details include cast iron rainwater goods and clay cans.
