Description
125 Moira Terrace is a mid to later 19th century, two-storey, three-bay rectangular-plan gabled house, featuring a single-storey addition to the west. The building is constructed from stugged squared and snecked sandstone with droved ashlar dressings and has a base course.
On the south elevation, there is a deep-set panelled door located in the recessed centre bay, which is topped by a three-pane rectangular fanlight. This door is framed by a pilastered and corniced doorpiece. Above the first-floor window, there is a cast-iron window guard that sits above a cornice, with the window breaking the eaves beneath a coped gable. The gable features a rectangular plaque, skewputts, and a thistle sandstone finial. The outer bays of the crowstepped gable are slightly advanced and contain windows on each floor, each with a rectangular plaque in the gablehead and a sandstone ball finial. The window in the centre of the single-storey addition is set back to the left.
The east elevation has two bays, with a window in each floor of the left bay. The first-floor window breaks the eaves and has a coped gable, skewputts, and a sandstone finial. A modern glazed door is located at ground level in the right bay, which may have been a former window opening, with a window above that also breaks the eaves.
The north elevation is not visible as of 1995. The building has u-PVC windows, which were originally timber sash and case, and features a slate roof.
