Wheatfield House, 1 Craigentinny Crescent, Edinburgh

Wheatfield House, located at 1 Craigentinny Crescent in Edinburgh, is a classical house built in the mid to later 19th century, with some later alterations and additions. It is a two-storey, three-bay rectangular structure made of droved ashlar with polished ashlar dressings, while the side and rear elevations are harled. The house features a base course, eaves course, cornice, and rusticated quoins.

On the south elevation, there is a deep-set panelled Edinburgh door with an ornamental rectangular fanlight above, along with a window on the first floor above it. Each of the flanking bays has a window on both floors. The north elevation includes a full-height later addition in the centre, featuring a door with a rectangular fanlight above, and a window on the ground and first floor to the right.

The windows are later timber designs, with six-pane upper sections and two-pane casements below. The roof is piended, and there are tall droved ashlar coped wallhead stacks on the side elevations.

The interior was not seen in 1995. The boundary wall surrounding the property is made of rubble and harled on the exterior.
