Description

Late 18th century traditional. 4 and 5-storey with basement, 7-bay, (grouped 5 and 2), terraced tenement on falling ground, stepped down in height at centre. Rubble with ashlar margins, stone-cleaned. Projecting cills, eaves band, wallhead gable to centre.

W (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: 9 irregular bays at ground, shopfront to right with corniced fascia, entrance with fanlight in penultimate bay to right, plate glass windows at right and in 2 bays to left of entrance. Corniced entrances to centre and 3rd bay from left, windows in bays remaining. Regular fenestration above, centre bay blinded windows for symmetry.

Timber sash and case with 12-pane glazing, grey slates, wallhead stack with lop-sided shoulders and with terracotta cans, cast-iron railings.

INTERIOR: not seen 1998.
