Description

Late 18th century. 3 and 4-storey with basement and attic, 6-bay, traditional terraced tenement with shops at ground. Rubble with ashlar margins. 2 linked wallhead nepus gables. Cornice to left, projecting cills, ashlar steps and entrance platts oversailing basement. Rusticated quoins to left.

W (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: 9 bays at ground (grouped 5-1-3), 5-bay shopfront to left with linking cornice, entrances to alternate bays with fanlights. Windows to remaining bays. Regular fenestration above (grouped 3-3), penultimate bay to right blinded for symmetry, piended dormer to left, linked wallhead gable stacks to right, piended roof to far right.

Timber sash and case with 12-pane glazing, grey slates, wallhead gable stacks with 5 terracotta cans each, decorative cast-iron railings.

INTERIOR: not seen 1998.
