Royal Hotel, Glenburn Road, Ardrishaig

The Royal Hotel, located on Glenburn Road in Ardrishaig, is a late 19th-century building with earlier work at the rear, designed in a Scottish style. It features three storeys and an attic, with a thinly rendered exterior and a slate roof adorned with Flemish-gabled dormers. The front of the hotel has two gabled projections, one of which includes a bay window, with a porch situated between them. At the rear, there is one gable. The building is topped with ashlar chimneys and has narrow windows arranged in groups. Adjoining the rear are two-storey buildings that date back to the earliest construction, made of rubble with piended slate roofs. There is also a modern one-storey, flat-roofed extension to the north and a fire escape at the rear. The rear windows of the main block have been altered.
