13-15 Bishop Street, Rothesay, Bute

13-15 Bishop Street is an early 19th-century, near-symmetrical, two-storey house with a basement and attic, featuring a plain classical style and four bays. The building has a pend entry located to the outer right. It is constructed of painted coursed rubble with yellow sandstone ashlar margins, ashlar strip quoins, a raised eaves course, and projecting cills. The sides are finished in random rubble sandstone.

On the west elevation, there are steps leading to a recessed part-glazed door at the centre of the ground floor, with a single window above it aligned at the first floor. The flanking bays are regularly fenestrated on both floors. There is a boarded basement opening in the outer left bay, which is half obscured, and the pend entry is situated in the outer right bay. Above the outer left and right bays, there are three-light canted attic windows.

The windows are predominantly four-pane timber sash and case, with modern glazing in the attic. The roof is covered with graded grey slate and features raised stone skews and replacement rainwater goods. A coursed sandstone chimney stack is located to the north, with a single circular can.

The interior was not seen in 1996.
