Description
Ardgarth Cottage is an agricultural cottage built in the earlier to mid 19th century. It has a single-storey rectangular plan and is constructed of rubble with a slate roof. The door and one window feature droved ashlar margins, and there are coped end stacks with thackstanes.
On the east elevation, there is a boarded door in the center, an original four-pane window to the right, and an enlarged window to the left. The west elevation has a four-pane window on the left side.
Inside, the cottage has boarded walls and ceilings throughout. The kitchen contains a range with a sway, and there is a 19th century chimneypiece in another room.
