Description

Probably 17th century in origin, predominantly late 18th to early 19th century in form. 2-storey and single storey house, adjacent to W wall of Cathedral graveyard. Rubble sandstone with squared dressings.

S ELEVATION: 2-storey bays to right with window to each floor to outer left and right, window at ground to right of centre, single storey bays to left with door at right and small window to far left; marriage lintel 'IS 1702 IW' incorporated with carved heart.

N ELEVATION: door flanked by windows to right of 2-storey bays with single window at 1st floor and gabled stone wallheaddormer above, otherwise blank, window to left of single storey bays to right.

E GABLE: with blocked 1st floor window and gablehead stack.

W GABLES: brick gablehead to 2-storey gable with small square attic light to left; stack to single storey gable. Timber 4-pane sash and case windows, 2 plate glass windows. Purple slates, cast-iron eooflight. Stone skew to E and stone/concrete ridge.

INTERIOR: not seen 1997.
