Description

Mid 19th century, hexagonal tower addition to early 19th Century 2-storey house. Sandstone ashlar. Band courses above ground, 1st and 2nd floors, crenellated parapet. Chamfered margins, battered cills.

N E (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: tower to centre of house; pointed arch windows on 2 faces, 1 blinded, moulded astragals forming Y-tracery, doorway to left. 3 plain windows at 1st floor, 2 blinded. Block slit windows with trefoil heads at 2nd floor, parapet above. Attached house in lined render, single bays flanking tower with additional door to right at ground.

BOUNDARY WALLS AND GATEPIERS: rubble boundary wall to front (NE) with moulded and battered coping. Octagonal, capped and pier to right. Square section, corniced gatepiers to centre with decorative wrought-iron, arched lamp bracket.
