9, 10 Gibson Place, Montrose

9 and 10 Gibson Place is a mid-19th century, two-storey and attic, three-bay end of terrace house. The front is finished in sandstone ashlar, while the sides are harled, featuring a base course and chamfered margins.

The principal elevation is symmetrical, with a wide central doorway that has been narrowed for a modern door, and a rectangular fanlight above it. There is a window centered above the doorway on the first floor, with flanking bays containing windows on both the ground and first floors. Canted dormers are positioned above the outer bays.

The north elevation is a blank gable end, while the south elevation adjoins 11 Gibson Place.

The house has four-pane timber sash and case windows on the first floor and in the dormers, with replacement windows on the ground floor. The roof is pitched and covered with graded grey slate, featuring stone skews and skewputts. There is a rendered gablehead stack on the north side.

The interior was not seen in 1998.
