Hillside, Former Sunnyside Hospital, Timber Summerhouse

Hillside, a former summerhouse of Sunnyside Hospital, is an early 20th-century single-storey structure. It has an octagonal shape and features a rustic timber design with a red tiled pavilion roof topped with a finial. The summerhouse is adorned with a decorative timber valance and has groups of three rectangular window openings with raised margins on six sides. The windows are separated by full-height timbers. There is a boarded timber entrance door on the east side, which has a finialled gable above it.

The roof is covered with red tiles, and the windows display a diamond glazing pattern, although they are boarded on the exterior. The interior, which was not seen in 2012, is believed to be timber lined, according to information from NHS Tayside staff at that time.
