Description
The former Sunnyside Hospital's Home Team Cricket Pavilion is an early 20th century, single-storey, octagonal structure. It features boarded timber construction and a deep overhanging roof made of corrugated iron, topped with a tall finial at the apex. The pavilion stands on a stone base and has vertical and diagonal painted timber boarding. Some faces have square window openings that are boarded, while others retain fixed glazing. The southern entrance opening is boarded and flanked by window openings. There is a fixed, slatted timber bench on the exterior, and the eaves overhang with timber soffits and brackets.
Inside, as seen in 2012, the pavilion is lined with timber and includes bench seating around the perimeter, with storage space beneath the bench seats.
