Description
Hillside, formerly known as Sunnyside Hospital, is an early 20th-century single-storey cricket pavilion designed in a butterfly plan. It features a central hexagonal pavilion flanked by two storage huts with piended roofs. The northern side has a gabled porch supported by rustic timber, with decorative bargeboarding and a slatted timber entrance door. The pavilion showcases square and pointed-arch window openings, while the storage huts are clad in weatherboarding.
The central pavilion has a roof covered in red tiles, as does the porch, which also has ridge tiles. The outer huts are topped with corrugated iron. The window openings are boarded.
Inside, as observed in 2012, the pavilion is lined with timber and includes a timber bench around the walls. A later addition at the rear is a brick and rendered toilet block.
