Description
The cricket pavilion, dated 1890, is located on the south side of the cricket ground. It features a timber frame with diagonal board cladding and a roof made of banded dark red and bright red tiles, topped with crested and finialled terracotta ridges. The pavilion is a single storey structure with three bays, where the central bay is gabled and protrudes forward on the south side.
On the south side, the central bay has a replacement door flanked by single-light windows; the left window is triangular-headed while the right is a replacement. The pavilion also has wavy, decoratively-pierced bargeboards, with a door in each outer bay and a small window in the left bay.
On the north side, there are steps leading up to a central double door with diagonal boarding. This side features a bracketed projecting gable with a tie-beam and arched braces to the purlins, along with bargeboards similar to those on the south side. Each side has three panels with vertically-sliding shutters and cusping below the heads. The returns each have a window consisting of two pointed-arched lights, with bargeboards matching those elsewhere.
