Description
The summerhouse at Arniston House is an early 20th-century structure. It is a single-storey building with a rectangular plan, featuring three bays and constructed from horizontally boarded timber. The corners are accentuated with vertical timber quoins, and there is an eaves course.
On the west elevation, which serves as the entrance, the design is symmetrical with a central two-leaf glazed and panelled timber door, flanked by a single window on each side. The north and south elevations each have a single window in the centre. The east elevation is blank.
The windows are made of timber and consist of eight panes. The roof is a red tiled piended design, topped with a decorative terracotta ridge, and the building is equipped with cast iron rainwater goods.
