Description

The sundial, dating from 1685, features a two-tier squared design with carved and relief details. It has lead gnomons and is set on a later carved stone pedestal base, which was created by Ian G Lindsay and Partners in 1956. The sundial was moved to its current location in 2011, and it is situated immediately next to the east elevation of Arniston House. The structure is made of finely tooled sandstone ashlar.
