34-35 Wharf Street, Montrose

34-35 Wharf Street is an earlier 19th century, two-storey and attic house that forms part of an irregular terrace. The building features painted render with contrasting margins.

On the south elevation, there is a timber-clad gabled projection at both the ground and first floors, which includes a doorway at the ground level and a window above, topped with a finial. The flanking bays have windows at both the ground and first floors, with a canted dormer on the left side. To the right, there is a 12-step stone flight leading to further timber steps that provide access to the first-floor entrance in the projection.

The west elevation adjoins 28-33 Wharf Street, while the east elevation adjoins 36/37 Wharf Street. The north elevation features a modern attic addition.

The house has four and eight-pane timber sash and case windows and is topped with a grey slate pitched roof. The front is enclosed by a low, coped boundary wall with a steel gate and railings.
