Description
6 and 8 New Wynd in Montrose is a late 18th century building. It is three stories high and has two bays, constructed from rubble stone and finished with painted render.
The north elevation, which is the main front, features a boarded ground floor and a cill cornice on the first floor, with symmetrical windows on both the first and second floors. The west elevation is a blank gable end. The east elevation is adjacent to 10 and 12 New Wynd.
The building has replacement windows and a grey slate roof, with a coped skew on the east side and a rendered gablehead stack on the west, alongside a brick gablehead stack also on the west.
The interior was not seen in 1997.
