Description
Ythan Lodge, dated 1775, is a two-storey building with a basement and attic, featuring a three-window front and two-window gables. It has undergone external restoration accompanied by the addition of canted dormers. The interior was substantially recast by D. Turnball around 1965. The building is arranged in an L-shape with a square-piended stair projection at the rear, along with some modern additions. The exterior is harled and cream-washed, with margins highlighting the front and angles. There's an interesting skew detail present. Attached to the north-east is a single-storey, lean-to office building. Detached to the north is a roofless circular building.
