Description
The site includes late 18th-century gatepiers, consisting of two square piers constructed from ashlar. These piers have an astragal (a convex, curved moulding) and a bold cornice, topped with curvilinear caps and ball finials. Early 19th-century iron gates are also present.
A lodge was built in the late 19th century by A. Marshall Mackenzie. The lodge is single-storied, with harled walls and margins. It features a two-window front and a central entrance bay with a pediment. The gables have curvilinear ends, and the gable facing the road has a canted bay with a deep, plain parapet. The lodge retains its original glazing, with the upper sashes being small-paned. A slate roof covers the building, and there is a central chimney stack.
