Description
The churchyard surrounding Foveran Parish Church is a rubble-walled enclosure. It mainly comprises modern construction, although a few older stones are visible. Historical records indicate that the churchyard walls were newly built in the 18th century. Further information regarding the inscriptions on the gravestones can be found in Henderson’s Epitaphs and Inscriptions, page 309, and in the New Statistical Account, page 701.
